We are recruiting for a Cyber Endpoint Security Specialist based Remote/Buckinghamshire on contract with a leading financial services group.
Currently the role is fully remote, with the understanding that in the coming future the role will be a mix of office working and home working.
Role Summary
This role requires a security specialist to be responsible for reviewing and implementing new technologies, services, solutions and processes to offer advice to ensure security and alignment with best practice.
The role will include elements of design, implementation, infrastructure simplification, migration for the security portfolio and assist with the ongoing support of this.
Development of security products and coverage & compliance both for server estate and end-user environments.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of enterprise level design and a proven ability to deliver excellent service.
The candidate will work in a team and the role will be varied from design, implementation to support of managed security suite.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide support for the following security suites:
(CrowdStrike EDR, McAfee ePO, Application Control, MFRP, DE, ENS, ATD, TrendMicro DeepSecurity)
* Develop policies, standards and frameworks for IT Security and maintain them
* Provide architectural/Software support for the security suite.
* Support the creation of security related management reports on both an ad hoc and regular basis
* Incident management
* Problem solving and support to business functions and end-users.
* Extended working hours and part of an on-call rota (if required)
Essential Technical Skills
* IT Security knowledge
* Good understanding of Antimalware and EDR solutions
* Advanced understanding of the Windows operating system
* In depth technical ability gained in a relevant field
* Demonstrable problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail
* End to end service/third line fault fixing & diagnosis
Desirable
* Knowledge of Unix/Linux
* CrowdStrike and/or McAfee Suite Knowledge
* Cisco Email Security and Proofpoint
* Basic understanding of Scripting and coding languages
* IBM TEM BES (BigFix)
* Enthusiastic about the security industry and driven to continue learning and developing new skills
* Experience of working within the financial services industry is extremely beneficial
