Sourcing and Supply within UK Operations manages the material flow through the factory, enabling our packaging and processing areas to produce stock for customer orders. Post manufacture, the department also manages all product storage and shipment to over 100 countries globally. Divided into a number of departments, the function plans all aspects of the manufacturing process, liaising closely with our procurement team, inbound and outbound warehouses, line support teams and customer and distributor liaison. It is therefore vital that systems are managed and controlled in an efficient and cost effective manner.
As Materials Management Lead, you will be responsible for the tactical management of material supply chains. This includes major issue management, identifying major supply chain design opportunities, accommodating major changes in supply capability and being the local link on Global supply.
The objective of this role is to provide leadership to a team of Sourcing & Supply professionals, ensuring data is accurate and visible to support transactional actions and to help support decision making.
Manufacturing is a key customer where the team will ensure materials are available for on-time in full production orders that will be supplied in a cost and time effective manner.
*Responsibilities:*
Responsible for a financial budget to minimise write off & waste and have a set of key performance indicator's to meet.
Develop collaborative relationships with all key business partners, to ensure the smooth flow of data, materials and manufacturing plans, allowing the assets to focus on manufacture as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Drive a culture of compliance within the team, along with root cause analysis to fully understand compliance failures and the implementation of steps to prevent recurrence. In addition drive pro-active continuous improvement in this area.
Represent the Site at Global/Regional Network forums, and ensure that local targets & goals complement the expectations of Global Supply Chain as well as contributing pro-active improvements, ways of working and the development of processes.
Accountable for delivery of the Team Scorecard, and ensure sufficient focus on key deliverables such as Data accuracy, use of Analytics, stock write-off, Order Conversion and Order Due Date performance and Quality targets
Develop insights and implement change through appropriate exploitation of information systems with the intent of optimising performance, reducing costs, minimising risks associated with commercial operations and driving decisions
Actively works with sites and central functions to develop in depth understanding of the supply chain and develop accurate forecasts
Analyse and review data rigorously, identify and resolve inconsistencies and assure the quality of the outputs in order to ensure the major insights and issues are agreed with key stakeholders

* Degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering

* Advanced supply chain management techniques including (capacity and planning) planning skills
