Role Summary
We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Barrow as a Senior Designer .
The role will be an initial 12 month contract and will provide you with h a number of functions and departments to provide a unique design service to support a wide variety of shipyard activities.
Key Responsibilities
Handling of Structural Steelwork and other units.
Shipping of Major Equipment & Modules
Transportation of Heavy & Indivisible Build Components
Jig & Tool design including lifting equipment
Build Strategy & Capacity Planning Studies
Key skills & qualifications
Producing concept designs
Detailed manufacturing & general arrangement drawings
procedures for shipping, transport & handling activities.
Blocking (Supports) for Structural Steelwork & other units
What we're looking for in you
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well-developed analytical/ problem solving/ decision making skills.
Strong organisational skills who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Stakeholder management skills.
Location: Barrow
Rate: GBP28.43 per hour (INSIDE IR35)
