Are you a competent HR professional with strong generalist experience? Are you working at HR Advisor level but keen to progress into a stand alone HR Manager role for a growing business? Or have you worked as HR Manager for an SME previously?

Think Human Resources are pleased to be working with an SME based on the outskirts of Watford to recruit a permanent HR Manager for a stand-alone role. Working closely with the Directors of the company, the role will incorporate all things HR for an established and growing business. We are looking for HR Generalists (open to those working at HR Advisor, HRBP, HR Manager level) - who can play an important part in the company's People strategy as they continue their ambitious growth plans and move to an amazing new office!

The role will be Monday to Friday with flexibility for reduced hours for the right candidate (minimum 30 hours per week). The role will be office based so candidates must be able to commute to the office daily (the Borehamwood side of Watford).

Role overview:

  • Stand alone HR Manager responsible for employee lifecycle
  • Developing the company's People strategy
  • Working closely with senior management team to implement key HR processes
  • Managing recruitment process from start to finish
  • Working with line managers to compose vacancy briefs, organise interviews etc
  • Generating offer letters and contracts
  • New employee onboarding and inductions
  • Managing all things employee relations across the company
  • Working with training provider to book ongoing training for employees
  • Coordinating annual performance programmes and ongoing reviews
  • Updating payroll on new employee details and salary changes etc
  • Develop HR processes and ensure best practice used across the business

Candidate requirements:

  • Strong, all round, generalist HR experience is essential
  • Strong, competent and resilient character
  • CIPD Level 5 or above would be beneficial
  • Must be able to commute to office daily
