Ops Room Supervisor
Navy Digital Operations Centre (NDOC) (Navy Command)
Background:
The NDOC role is an outsourced service Carbon60 contract to Navy Command for the NDOC team.
In this role you will provide Support and Data Management for the NDOC. Incorporating multiple information systems that collectively contribute to the better understanding of the Maritime Domain and situational awareness.
Located in a military facility, successful applicants will play a key role as a shift watchkeeper in an expanding team that will provide 24/7/365 cover. The role forms part of a team that manages digital data providing outputs to customers globally.
The NDOC Supervisor is responsible to the NDOC Ops Room Manager (ORM) for ensuring the operational output of the NDOC watch during their period of duty.
A critical role, the NDOC supervisor will ensure that operational tasking is clearly understood, and the watch is configured to meet the supported commanders mission.
As the Supervisor it is imperative that the ORMs tasking is carried out as directed and any exceptions reported as the priority call out list dictates. The Supervisor is to have a good understanding of the tactical situation at all times and is responsible for accurate compilation of the NDOC picture
Other tasking may include, but is not limited to:
o Supervise the NDOC watch in the production of an accurate operational picture as directed by the NDOC ORM:
o Enable integration of outside agencies into the NDOC as directed by the ORM
o Support to the NDOC watch in execution of their duties
o Supervise interaction with supported units to ensure requirements are understood and met
o Manage liaison with outside authorities to effectively meet the mission directive
o Ensure that all equipment as defined in SOPs are correctly configured and exploited
o Supplement the baseline picture with multiple data sources in support of the mission directive
o Brief any significant changes to the tactical situation to the NDOC WKPRS
o Constantly monitor chat and communication channels
o Monitor the performance NDOC Information Systems (IS) and report any degradation of equipment to the NDOC WKPRS
o Activate call out lists and escalate issues as the stipulated in standing orders
Person Specifications
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
Essential Skills
?? MOD Security.
?? Trained ELINT operator.
?? Picture management experience.
?? Proven leadership abilities.
?? Excellent communication skills
?? Ability to work calmly under pressure.
?? Able to follow laid down procedures.
?? Experience of working set shift patterns and unsociable hours.
?? Familiar with RN maritime systems.
?? Background knowledge of military shipping would be advantageous.
Desirable Skills
?? Current SC or DV clearance
?? Operations room experience
Shift Pattern
Successful applicants will be put into a set shift rota with limited flexibility. Leave is allocated over set periods and there is limited scope for change.

?? Day rate negotiable dependant on experience and interview.
