Prince Personnel are working with a growing company based in Welshpool. They are looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join them on a permanent. The purpose of this role is to oversee and facilitate all material over the weighbridge, ensuring correct documentation is processed and accuracy, timeliness and compliance to industry and company standards is achieved.
Duties:
* Liaise with vehicle drivers using the weighbridge and control all vehicles entering the site ensuring compliance with relevant legislation e.g. Duty of Care and the Company's H&S and Site Rules, redirecting or refusing entry as appropriate
* Plan and manage all Weighbridge-related activities as dictated by the sales and purchases made by management; oversee all advance notification of orders are planned and shortfalls reported
* Manage all transactions over the weighbridge to company procedures and standards, fulfilling each customer's individual requirements as per expectations
* Manage the company's accounts link for appropriate Customers
* Ensure all weighbridge documentation is produced in a timely and accurate manner.
* Request stock transfer tickets from relevant companies, ensuring sufficient quantities are maintained
* Manage and maintain the weighbridge reporting systems, preparing a week in advance with planned loads, and updating daily.
* Manage, complete and send appropriate documentation and photographs to relevant agencies
* Oversee sign out sheets for the jet wash, brushes, shredder remote, air guns and walkie talkies
* Responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations required by the Weight & Measures Acts, the Highways Act and all other relevant Acts or Bodies are adhered to
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who has weighbridge experience or a similar background. We need someone who is bright, computer literate, great attention to detail and has a very methodical approach. We also need someone who has a very good telephone manner; and is comfortable dealing with the lorry drivers.
