The School:

TimePlan are working with an SEMH school in the Brockenhurst area who are looking for an experienced Teaching assistant, eager to work in an SEN setting with pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties!

Pupils are aged 5-19. The age range in each classroom varies but no classes will contain any more than 8 pupils. They are a caring and nurturing environment with a real team atmosphere where everyone supports one another. Many of the pupils have speech and language communication difficulties and challenging behaviour, so as a teaching Assistant you will need strategies and methods in place to help with this from a learning perspective.

The Role:

We are seeking someone who has experience of supporting children or adults with learning difficulties to be able to support the teacher with the KS1-4 curriculum. This is full time, 8.15am to 4pm daily; Monday to Friday. This is on a long-term basis, but the school will consider a permanent contract for the right person!

All applicants need to have work with or alongside students/service users that have special needs and challenging behaviour.
