We have invested in a new, multi-million pound manufacturing facility and offices in Corsham, Wiltshire
The role:
We are looking for an experienced and pro-active Procurement Manager with previous pharmaceutical and procurement experience, showing strong commercial and business acumen.
You'll report directly into the CFO and lead the purchasing team, being hands on in managing and maintaining stock levels to maximise business efficiencies. You'll work with multiple stakeholders, including senior management to support our vision, level of ambition and our commitment to patients.
You will be responsible for:
Managing and maintaining stock levels to maximise business efficiencies across QPHL.
What you will be doing:
Process forecast gap analysis responses and mitigate risks to continual supply
Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
Identify & assess potential suppliers
Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
Negotiating supplier agreements and monitoring their progress
Checking costs, quality and levels of service
Monitor and report supplier performance against functional Key Process Indicators (KPI's)
Develop the organisation's procurement strategy & policy
Conducting research to ascertain market trends and needs
Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities
Developing market knowledge and contacts for new products and services
Attend supplier meetings, distribution centres and trade conferences
Build & maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
The skills and attributes you will need:
Highly developed and complex levels of knowledge enabling you to develop original responses to complicated and unpredictable problems and situations
The ability to apply specialist learning involving detailed analysis of a high level of information and knowledge
In-depth technical knowledge and be pro-active in guiding the Purchasing team
Qualities you will need:
A strong sense of dedication and overcomes challenges to achieve objectives to ensure that the Patients come
Ability to work under pressure within a fast and ever-changing environment
The ability to empathise - both with our patients and the group
