Job Introduction
Full-time role, home-based
Do you want to work for the most exciting media company in the business, covering the best country in the world? The dailyrecord is already the largest news website in Scotland and Glasgow and Edinburgh Live are the best-read titles in their cities - but we want to get even bigger. We are now launching Aberdeen Live and need journalists who are passionate about the city they live, work and play in.

As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an experienced Editor to lead the launch of Aberdeen Live. You will have previous experience of managing a team, covering live and breaking news as well as setting the news agenda for your city each day. You will be able to jump between news and features, understanding what your readers want from each section of the website. The role will require you to manage content daily and commission quality, compelling articles which match the Reach brand vision and that cover the issues that matter most to your readership.
We are looking for candidates with strong leadership skills, excellent storytelling techniques, superb knowledge of social media and a deep understanding of how to make content engaging.

Please note we will be reviewing applications for this role as applications are submitted. Due to this, the role may close without notice, so please don't delay in your application.
