Are you an experienced Fitter/ Vehicle Technician looking for a new permanent role?
We are recruiting an Fitter working Monday to Friday at our Chester Operations Centre.
In your new role as a Fitter working with us, this can all change as we give you as much responsibility as you can handle.
Copart currently owns and manages a fleet of over 250 vehicles that are a combination of vehicle transporters and plant machinery along with LGV Class 1 Drivers. Our continued investment over the next few years in replacement and additional fleet is circa 23 million, this substantial investment will ensure our fleet continues to keep us ahead of the competition.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Fitter is responsible for the pre-service and maintenance of the company's fleet, plant and yard equipment at the Chester facility. As the Fitter, you will take ownership of fleet and prepare trucks for six weekly safety inspections using the company's pre-inspection check sheet.
Essential Skills
Abrasive wheel certificate.
Plant certificate.
Full UK driver's license.Desired Skills
LGV/HGV licence.
Qualification to work on HGV vehicles and related experience.
Welding qualification and experience.
Experience working on car transporters and hydraulic systems.
Experience working on fork lift trucks and agricultural machinery.In return, we offer:
