A rapidly growing and nationally renowned testing and inspection organisation based in Gloucestershire is seeking a Laboratory Manager to join their hugely successful in supporting experimental and research work in their laboratories. The role is permanent.

The Role
The Lab Manager will support a range of testing and experiment projects around safety research undertaken within a cutting-edge laboratory. You will support the smooth and efficient running of the laboratory including the input of client projects into the workstreams, ensuring the laboratories are fully stocked, cleaned and fit-for-purpose.
The Lab Manager will ensure work carried out is checked from a return-on-investment perspective including the appropriate allocation of laboratory technician resources.
Leading and running the laboratory, you will ensure the required Quality and accreditation standards such as ISO standards are maintained and adhered to.
The Person
The ideal candidate will possess experience leading a testing or laboratory operation ideally within research for areas such as materials, manufacturing, or safety assessments.
You will demonstrate good commercial awareness in assessing the validity and resource requirements of work placed into the laboratory and be able to positively influence a team to achieve the business goals.
The Lab will ideally possess a STEM qualification and previous leadership experience within a technical environment. Previous experience within ISO 17025 is highly desired for the role.
