Infrastructure Engineer - Server/LAN/WAN/Networks - based remote with occasional visits to Chorley (Lancashire)
Our client is a well established, worldwide organisation.
Due to continued success, they now require an Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT department during an exciting period of digital transformation.
Working within an overall IT team of 60 and in a specialist infrastructure team of 4, the role holder will have responsibility for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, Servers, and networks. This will include monitoring, maintaining, supporting, optimising and improving the technology estate, as well as progressing various key infrastructure projects, delivering them on time and within budget.
To succeed, you will ideally be educated to Degree level or equivalent and have expert knowledge in the technologies used. These currently include Microsoft O365, Windows Server (Apply online only), SQL Server, Exchange online, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, Desktop Central, IP Stack, Managed Switches and structured cabling.
