About the role:

Their Hub is a state-of-the-art world class facility for young people and the community, delivering a range of youth work programmes and interventions. They are currently seeking a Sports Youth Worker - who can deliver a youth work programme that provides a range of sporting activities, teams and Duke of Edinburgh Award to challenge and further develop children and young people. 

 

Please Note:  As young people will be part of the interview and selection process all interviews will take place on an evening/ weekend. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To work as part of the youth team to deliver a high-quality youth work programme creating exciting and innovative opportunities for improving the lives of young people and the wider community.
  • To work alongside Gym & Fitness Team Leader to facilitate personal, social and educational growth in young people to help them reach their full potential.
  • Deliver, monitor and review activities in line with their Foundation’s Youth Impact Framework and Theory of Change. 
  • To be alert to issues of safeguarding, behaviour management and incident reporting processes ensuring the welfare and safety of Hub members. 

     

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A professional Youth Work qualification and relevant Level 3 Sports or Fitness Qualification.
  • Experience of leading design, delivery and evaluation of fitness activities and projects with children and young people.
  • Ability to communicate and respond to the changing needs of young people.
  • Experience of delivering innovative and engaging activities to involve young people in decision making.
