Position overview

Working for an established, very reputable, family run business on the outskirts of Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a successful team and make a real difference to the companies continued growth and success.

The role will involve proactively overseeing the fulfilment of orders in line with company target and customer requirement targets and managing and scheduling future workloads. Tasks include but are not limited to; picking & packing orders, stock takes, receiving deliveries, putting goods into stock, operating machinery, custom stock replenishments & KPI reporting.

Required qualifications, knowledge, experience & skills

* Experience of leading and motivating a team within a production environment

* Physically fit - manual handling is a key part of the role.

* The ability to complete paperwork and count stock items

* An in-depth understanding of health and safety regulations

* Honest, reliable, hard working with a "can do attitude".

* A willingness to work on a flexible basis.

* A Counterbalance Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential

* This role does have the potential to develop, therefore a strong H&S and IT knowledge would be extremely beneficial.

The salary is very competitive for the right person and the standard working hours are 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (with flexibility).

The company is based in quite a rural location, therefore candidates must be able to drive.
