In this role, you will have complete ownership of high-level decisions for a small precision engineering company. Areas covered will include manufacturing, staff development, compliance, H&S, customer relations.
Opportunity
Your responsibilities will include:
* Management, training and development of 3 direct reports and 12 indirect reports.
* Ensuring quality, health and safety and compliance standards are implemented and adhered to.
* Leading and assisting in the accurate costings of proposals, ensuring profit margins are maximised whilst ensuring customer expectations are met
* Evaluating, altering, and implementing robust business & manufacturing processes to ensure operations run smoothly
* Managing the existing customer base, whilst developing new opportunities to further enhance the customer portfolio
* Management of P&L of circa GBP5million
* Strategic planning of business activity
Person
The ideal candidate must:
* Have extensive management experience of general metalwork, fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel including full and part-CNC.
* Have experience in municipal, utilities and petrochemical sectors around the Humber geography.
* Have a strong approach to quality and health & safety and ensuring that standards and procedures are adhered to.
* Have sound commercial acumen and cost awareness with the ability to add value and optimise profits.
* Be results oriented with the ability to influence others, build teams, and drive change and continuous improvement.
* Have P&L responsibility up to GBP5m.
