Interested in learning a new profession and launching your career with the UK's leading home improvement retailer?

We're looking to recruit new colleagues on an 18 month programme to complete an apprenticeship in Kitchens Installations. The apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity within the trade sector, tapping into life and trade skills with mentoring support and, on completion, a nationally recognised qualification (Level 2 Fitted Furniture)

Wickes work with over 2000 kitchen installers across the UK, and the apprenticeship programme can open doors to many great careers in the industry and opportunities for people in a sector that can be flexible around them or give them an opportunity to potentially go on to set up their own business or work with an installer.

With more than 230 stores nationwide, our kitchen showroom collection ranges from sleek, handleless slab cabinets to traditional shaker styles offered with a complete design and installation service. Wickes have been offering a fully installed service to our kitchen customers for over ten years; we are currently the only kitchen and bathroom retailer to offer this complete service, giving us an advantage in the marketplace.

During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer and will be installing Wickes kitchens into our customers' homes. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to experience the working environment and put all of your learning into practice.

The formal training element of your apprenticeship will be delivered by our approved training provider WEBS Training Ltd and is focused on the technical aspects of fitting a kitchen, behaviour, customer services and setting up your own business. WEBS are a well established independent training provider serving the furniture manufacturing sector for more than 50 years.

Throughout your programme you will have a personal training officer, as well as support from your Line Manager, who can help you to plan your exciting future following your apprenticeship.

As an apprentice you will be required to travel to customer's homes, so it will be necessary for you to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to work.

What can we offer you?
Wickes' culture is a best kept secret; it's a collaborative, down to earth, fun and inclusive environment where people feel part of a winning team. All our colleagues come from different backgrounds, but what we all have in common is a determination to succeed and a passion for being the best we can be. If that sounds like you, we'll make you feel right at home
