Systems Engineer

Permanent contract - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GBP23k to GBP27k depending on experience

Location: Remote Working (+ regular visits to offices in Market Harborough, Leicestershire)

We are looking for a new Systems Engineer at an entry level tier with roughly 2 years' experience in IT support. This is a great opportunity to develop your career with new skills and experience whilst working as part of a highly motivated team. The position responsibilities include assisting in the support and stable operation of the organisation's IT Infrastructure. This includes maintaining, supporting, deploying and optimising key functional areas. Resolving support requests in a timely and accurate fashion, as well as providing recommendations and guidance on future architectural and technology improvements.

Essential skills and experience:

Driving License

Knowledge of Networking

Knowledge of Hardware

Good knowledge of Helpdesk procedures

Ability to diagnose and resolve Networking/Hardware/OS issues

Good Technical Administration skills

Experience managing and maintaining documentation

Understanding of Cloud services such as Office 365.

Knowledge of back-up and security procedures

Desktop support experience for Windows 10

Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and the associated core services such as AD

Desirable:

PaloAlto and Cisco ASA Firewalls experience and\or certification

Working knowledge of ITIL, PCI, GDPR

Experience with O365 and Azure hosted services

Linux (CentOS) experience and\or certification

VMware Virtualisation experience and\or certification

Cisco Switches experience and\or certification

Systems security; Firewall technologies, anti-virus policies etc..

Knowledge of Veeam backup software
