A farm machinery engineer is required by a well-established and successful dealership based in the county of Cumbria and the Lake District. The dealership represents some of the best names in new and used agricultural machinery as well as a leading tractor company.
As an engineer, you will enjoy being the road as well in the workshop, visiting farms to perform set-up and service of new and existing machinery. In addition, there will be a requirement to facilitate diagnostics testing, recognising faults and rectifying and repairing on site.
As a customer focused position, you will enjoy helping people and demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as being enthusiastic, well organised and dependable. Effective communication skills are essential to enable candidates to communicate confidently with customers.
This is also an excellent opportunity for a workshop based agricultural engineer to go out on the road.
Full in-house training will be provided with an opportunity to gain/maintain full engineering status with training at manufacturer level.
Candidate skills and requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of agricultural machinery is essential
* Excellent understanding of UK farming practice
* Self-motivated and able to work off own initiative
* Dedicated team-player
* Minimum 5 years work experience equivalent in Agricultural Engineering
* Full UK driving licence
