Over the course of 48 weeks, you'll get to see all sides of our business. From a Lidl insight into Sales and Logistics, to a taste of either Supply Chain, Property or Administration. What you'll do
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to experience a placement year like no other. It's the chance to build your leadership skills and find the direction you want to take. As you rotate through a series of placements, time will fly and you'll gain great exposure in the following areas.
Sales: You'll start as a Customer Assistant and get know the basics of Lidl before taking on management responsibilities. You'll gain a well-rounded view of how our stores operate while testing your leadership skills.
Logistics: This module will give you great insight into our warehouse operations. You'll learn how to select products for orders, manage deliveries and find out what it takes to manage a team of up to 200.
Supply Chain/Administration/Property: You'll join one of our office-based teams in these areas, depending on which path you choose. Working alongside talented colleagues, you'll become familiar with a range of essential tasks and projects.
Regional Project: Your regional management team will give you the responsibility and autonomy to run your very own project. This will give you vital exposure to project management and you'll have the chance to make a lasting impact on the business. (Past projects have improved our audits, customer service training and property negotiations.)
Head Office: You'll spend two weeks with our Head Office team, working with one or two departments to discover what life is like inside our UK HQ.
What you'll need
To be studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject
To already have some work, volunteering or extra-curricular experience (ideally)
A full UK/EU driving licence by 1 st March 2022
To live (or relocate) within a one-hour commute of your chosen location
To be legally entitled to work in the UK on a full-time basis for the duration of your placement
