We are looking for someone to cover maternity leave (on a fixed term contract) for our Environmental Officer role. Reporting directly to the General Manager, day to day you will be accountable for the ownership of environmental responsibilities for all Branston factories (including our Lincoln based Prepared factory), whilst also supporting the Health & Safety Manager (who is based at our Lincoln site) with their responsibilities.
It's a busy and varied role, therefore your ability to multitask and prioritise is essential.
Your duties will include, but is not limited to:
* Ensuring implementation, maintenance, and control of the Branston Environmental Management System (EMS) at all sites to the ISO14001 standard.
* Monitoring and recording environmental data to ensure records are maintained. You will be supported at other sites by someone who will capture data but it remains your responsibility to co-ordinate these activities.
* To ensure legal compliance you will be responsible for:
* The companies' Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) system, a mandated annual submission
* Carrying out an Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) assessment - a mandated submission every four years
* Managing the companies' Climate Change Agreement (CCA) data and make an annual claim
* Using data collected to submit annual manufacturing emissions data onto the Tesco portal
* To be the account manager for Fairshare and liaise with the sites to plan and track donations
* Supporting the Health & Safety Officer and site operations management teams to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture.
About you!
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in Health, Safety and environmental business needs, who has the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, has a high level of attention to detail and who has an approachable and professional manner. Successful candidates must be familiar with ISO14001 (full and surveillance) audits, as well as being familiar with ISO(phone number removed) and clauses set out in the standards.
