Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector works within the Quality Assurance team and is primarily responsible for pre-dispatch inspection. This role is shop floor based so a background in manufacturing or warehousing would be beneficial but not essential. The company produces over 25 pairs of crawler track systems each day and this role is essential in ensuring our high-quality standards of manufacturing are maintained.
The role involves working closely with our paint spraying team to identify defects and also determine root cause to help towards preventing recurrence in the future. A small amount of rework and touch up work is expected and training will be provided.
The Quality Inspector will also support other Quality Assurance processes including calibration management, containment activities and in-process inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•Understanding of Quality Management Systems with experience of operating to ISO9001:2015 standards
•Ability to interact with team members to discuss problems and determine robust solutions
•Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel for inputting information
•Computer literate, able to easily navigate to files and programmes
•Experience with following work instructions and understanding of pictorial and written instructions
•Experience in a manufacturing environment
•Any previous experience with paint finish would be advantageous
