Job Title: Digital Collections Assistant
Location Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Perry Green, Much Hadham, Herts
Salary: GBP9,000 - GBP10,000 (GBP18-20,000 p.a. pro rata) + 12.5% pension contribution + other benefits
Job type: Permanent, Part time (17.5 hrs/wk)

The Foundation was established by one of the greatest sculptors of the twentieth century. Today it is the largest artist-endowed grant-giving foundation in Europe and operates across two venues in the UK. The Foundation is headquartered in Hertfordshire where visitors can appreciate the artist's former home, studios and see his monumental bronzes in the landscape as he desired. The Henry Moore Institute, based in Leeds, is one of the world's leading centres for the study of sculpture, offering a programme of exhibitions and complementary research and engagement activities that animate the programme.
The Role
This flexible, part time role is an excellent opportunity to join a busy collections and curatorial team in a friendly and team-focused culture, where your digital skills and online presentational flair can flourish.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a degree in an arts or humanities subject, an excellent eye for visual and textual detail and competent database skills to assist in the updating, review and maintenance of our collections databases. Our ideal candidate would bring experience in collections management systems, but full training will be given in TMS software as required.
This is an ideal role for someone seeking a career in museums, galleries, collections management or research. Based in a beautiful, rural location, this role also offers the opportunity for some homeworking, subject to our Hybrid Homeworking Policy. The working pattern is negotiable and hours can be worked over 2?? full days or 3, 4 or 5 part days Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
* Assist the Digital Manager with the preparation, publication and maintenance of the Henry Moore digital catalogue raisonn??;
* Assist the Digital Manager with the upkeep of the Foundation's digital collection catalogues;
* Enter and maintain data and documents in the Foundation's collections databases, including The Museum System (TMS) and FileMaker, following strict data entry protocols;
* Prepare and upload digital images and other media to the databases and the website's Content Management System;
* Provide general database and information support to the Collections and Programmes team;
* Any other duties that may reasonably be required.
About you:

* A degree in an arts or humanities subject, ideally history of art [E]
* Excellent attention to detail and visual presentation [E]
* Excellent project management skills, and an ability to work on various and concurrent projects to deadlines [E]
* Ability to work on own initiative and to liaise with third parties to source and check information and images [D]
* Competent and confident using database packages and Microsoft Office suite [E]
* Experience of using image editing software, e.g. Photoshop [D]
* Experience of working with TMS or other collection management systems in a cultural or charitable organisation [D].
