We’re now looking for an Employability Co-ordinator to source, work with and provide employability support for unemployed clients who either self-refer or are referred to the College by Job Centre Plus and the Departments of Work and Pensions. You will work to match prospective students to our range of employability courses with a view to supporting them to obtain and sustain employment. You will provide effective and flexible support for ongoing business partnerships and employability events, such as those linked to enrolment, progression and admissions. You will be responsible for record keeping and reporting on progression against set targets to the School management team.

We’re looking for an individual who holds a recognised qualification in Advice & Guidance or Careers Advice (DCG part 1 & 2, QCG or NVQ Level 4) and who has experience of providing careers information, advice and guidance to unemployed individuals and groups. Your experience will include advising and guiding clients in progression to employment including job searching and writing CV’s and personal statements.

With excellent communication skills, you will be able to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of learners and colleagues, liaise with employers, employment agencies, colleges, universities and other organisations offering opportunities to learners. You should have knowledge of occupational areas and progression routes into further/higher education, training and employment, and have successful experience of planning and delivering careers education group work and events to a range of audiences. We are looking to grow this aspect of our work and see this post as key in creating new partnerships and supporting development of new provision to meet employers’ needs

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 21st October.
