Our Client is the UK's biggest end-to-end commercial vehicle fleet management business, managing and maintaining a fleet of 80,000 vehicles across 65 garages.
They are offering an exciting opportunity for an HGV Technician to join the team based at their Reading Workshop on a full-time permanent basis, they are Monday to Friday/Day shifts.
At the Reading Workshop, as an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle repairs, this will include inspection, maintenance, repair and service of all types of mechanical assets.
Role & Responsibilities
* To ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed as per company/manufacturers requirements and standards.
* Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with Pullman warranty terms.
* Answer VMU telephone and deal with all enquires promptly and in a professional, helpful & proactive manner.
* To complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets and any other relevant paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
* To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the VMU.
* Undertakes necessary training to become multi-skilled.
* To undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate.
Skills & Experience
* Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Vehicle Maintenance Repair
* Experience working as an HGV Technician
* Ability to work quickly and effectively
* Be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive HGV Technician
* Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing
* Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable
* HGV license would also be desirable
