I am currently working with a country wide private hospital group which aims to maintain optimum patient outcomes across their services. The private hospital in Shrewsbury, Shropshire is seeking agency ODP Anaesthetics to join their team on an ad hoc/temporary basis. The group offers private medical and surgical care to paying patients with access to a world class team of specialists who facilitate access to a broad range of treatments and surgeries.
This hospital based in Shrewsbury is well-known for their orthopaedic and cosmetic surgery and women's health. The Healthcare and Nursing team at this service just south of Shrewsbury are made up of Ward and Theatre staff alongside Physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals who you will work in conjunction with to provide a continuous delivery of high quality person-centred care.

Job Description
As Agency Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with specialist experience in Anaesthetics in this private hospital, Shrewsbury you will be responsible for:
- Helping and supporting patients before surgery
- Preparing specialist equipment and medications including anaesthetic machines, IV equipment and devices to secure the airway during anaesthesia
- Acting as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the hospital
- Monitoring the patient throughout the procedure and acting swiftly and accordingly to any changes
The successful ODP Anaesthetics will have the following:
- Active & Valid HCPC Registration
- Clear Enhanced DBS (Children's & Adults)
- Legal right to live and work in the UK
- Experience working in a similar setting
- Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patient's needs and apprehension around the procedure
- Confident and competent working as part of a broad multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff
- Up to date with theoretical and clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industry
