Role: 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer
Salary: GBP26,000
Location: Ellesmere Port
We have an exciting new 2nd line IT Support Engineer vacancy: Excellent opportunity for progression with training/certifications paid for.
This role would be suitable for a technically strong engineer who enjoys working in a busy and dynamic environment.
The company are an IT & Telecoms service provider, your role as a service desk engineer will be to provide 2nd line support as an escalation point for the 1st line, while having the opportunity to assist senior staff in exciting and complex projects.
You will be responsible for:
** Working as a 2nd line Engineer providing BAU support, being an escalation point for any issues unresolved by the 1st line.
** Assisting senior staff in projects such as migrations and server builds, providing an excellent opportunity to continue developing your skills as an engineer.
** Working towards your personal and professional career development plans and following the clear routes to more senior roles.
Experience in the following technologies will stand you in good stead to secure this position:
** Microsoft Azure
** Office 365
** Backups & Disaster Recovery
** Antivirus
** LAN / WAN
** Firewalls, Routers & Switches
** Virtualisation: VMware, Hyper-V or Citrix
** VoIP & Voice Network Protocols (non-essential)
**Previous Managed service experience (non-essential)
