Assistant General Manager - Student accommodation

Central Dublin

EMBS Property are currently supporting a client operating within the purpose built student accommodation sector (PBSA) to recruit an Assistant General Manager in central Dublin.

If you are considering a new career move the good news is you don't have to already work within the student accommodation sector, in fact, candidates with experience in hotels, hospitality, leisure, retirement living and other residential / building management experience will all be considered.

As Assistant Manager you will assist the General Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the building and associated operations, to support in every aspect of the day to day management of the accommodation and resident services including: marketing, event coordination. building facilities management, tenancy administration, customer relations, development of student events programmes and much, much more!

Listed below are an outline of duties, however, if you are amazing with customers in a face to face environment and/or currently working in any of the sectors above then we want to hear from you!

Role outline:

Assist in the management of a small onsite team

Support customer service functions to include maintenance, presentation of communal areas, attendance at meetings and reporting relating to lettings, rent, site issues & H&S on site

To assist in the management of the student letting cycle to include some marketing activities, conducting viewings, check in and out, inspections, tenancy agreements, rent & arrears management & head office documentation.

General site/building management to include relationship building supporting partners eg University, ensuring best practice at all times, handling student complaints, scheduling and management of trades, wardens and support services plus supporting the Manager regarding H&S compliance

Financial management and reporting

Play an active role in the development of positive resident experience within the building including the coordination and management of events and social activities

To be considered for and be successful in this role you will need to be 100% customer service focused, self-motivated, well organised and great under pressure. Experience of driving sales/occupancy would also be advantageous.

You will also need to have previous experience in leading / supervising a team.
