Immediate start 3-6 month contract with possibility of a permanent job after. Weekly pay .Global Engineering Company. Full training given Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00 with Overtime available in week NO WEEKEND WORK Basic salary GBP21,500 (11.00 - GBP11.80)p/h Weekly pay
As a busy Transport Planner you will be working 9am-5pm Monday - Friday, possible overtime opportunities depending on workload which will be paid at Time and a half during a normal working week. NO WEEKEND WORK
You will have excellent communication skills and be up for a challenge. You will be proficient in English reading, writing & speaking and have worked with excel, word, teams, email & other Microsoft applications. You will be booking UK transport & supporting staff on import/export transport . The role can be busy, demanding and challenging at times so the ideal person will be able to cope well under pressure.
Initially the Transport/ Import/ Export Planner role is beginning offered as a 3-6 month Temporary contract as the company is reviewing their structure within the warehouse the role may be made to be a permanent one later this year.
Duties of the Transport/ Import/ Export Planner will include:
Communicating with the warehouse team on what day goods are shipping & when they will be delivered to customers
Chasing carriers on the day to ensure no delays and feedback delays to the customer
Ensuring correct service & carrier usage
Using company reference numbers to obtain POD's ( proof of Deliveries) for shipments throughout the previous year for Finance
Ensure Correct documentation goes with the goods
Holiday coverage in the export/import transport department
Assist with the shipping of engines and kits to customers outside of mainland UK
Commercial invoice creation
Working with the trade compliance team
Using customs broker to supply documentation to export goods from UK
Packing list creation for customs clearance
Booking correct vehicles & ensuring customers gets the goods on time
Chasing carriers on the day to ensure no delays and feedback delays to the customer.
Training will be given for the right person however a transport/ Import/ Export background would be very helpful
