Expleo are working on a preferred supplier basis to our Automotive who client are looking for a Materials Controller to lead the procurement and logistics process for all development parts. This will include coordinating a highly skilled team and liaising closely with the Quality, Material Control and Planning teams to ensure that new demands are met according to the set schedule. Based at the client facility in Surrey, we are offering an initial 3 month PAYE contract.
The Role
- Effectively communicate and feedback all future build needs and work closely with the Material Planning team to agree a schedule and pro-actively address any shortages
- Set warehouse priorities for the warehouse operator and work to improve the operating environment
- Coordinate the transportation of parts for development activities abroad when required
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience within the manufacturing industry, particularly in automotive serial production
- Must have the ability to respond to challenging situations in an innovative manner
- Comprehensive understanding of a sequenced materials production environment
- Excellent communication and IT skills
