Due to the increasing demand for Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools in the Belper area, Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant and/or an SEN Teaching Assistant in DE56. We are looking for a versatile and easy-going individual with the ability to adapt to any situation and handle pressure and challenging behaviour in a calm and collected manor.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Supervising small group activities.
Helping students who may need extra help in the classroom and extra support to complete tasks.
Working 1:1 with SEN students or in small groups.
Aiding with the management of class behaviour.
Carrying out administrative tasks.
Experience working with SEN Students (Desirable but not essential)
Some desirable attributes for the role are as follows:
Good organisational skills.
A passion for working with children.
Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant recent experience.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Caring nature.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Experience working within an SEN school.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with any incidents.
An up-to-date child only workforce DBS on the update service is a key requirement for all applicants (we can assist with this).
