Health, Safety and Environment Advisor - FTC 18 months
GBP33-34,000 PA + Bonus
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours
Are you an HSE Advisor looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience working on a large government project? The team at Kenton Black Science are recruiting for HSE advisors at the UK Mega Labs in Leamington Spa.
You will be joining a fast growing team as the site is anticipated to reach 2000 full time employees. You will have the opportunity to:
•Work with the senior leadership team to develop, implement and manage Health and Safety leadership and technical expertise
•Participate in the development, progression and implementation of the site safety management system, and to attend whole Team H&S meetings and Biosafety meetings
•Interpret and ensure appropriate application of UK H&S legislation and incorporate them into H&S policies and guidelines
•Take ownership of the site Environment, Health & Safety. Environment (EHS) self-inspection programmes and perform self-inspection audits
•Ensure adequate provision of H&S training for employees, through external training providers and development and delivery of 'in-house' training packages
•Participate in audits and development of the site audit programme
The successful candidate will be qualified to either NEBOSH or GradIOSH standard and have previous experience in an EHS advisor role.
It would be beneficial if you have experience in a scientific setting such as a research or commercial laboratory. A scientific background and/or qualification in biosafety would be advantageous
