Our client has several exciting opportunities including a Business Systems Development Manager.
The Role
Identify, manage and implement projects within the Company that drive improvement and effective use of our Enterprise Resourse Planning (ERP) system Epicor. Manage and resolve day to day issues with users of the system
Test and implement upgrades to the Epicor system, communicating and resolving issues as required with Epicor and providing support to users post go-Live
Provide training and support to all users of the Epicor system
Duties
Identify and manage projects within the Company that drive improvement and effective use of our ERP system. Involve appropriate divisional and support function stakeholders in deciding which projects to progress
Devise projects and set up teams where appropriate, planning and communicating expected milestones and timelines. Drive project through testing, assessment, training, roll out and implementation stages
Test and advise regarding new modules and functionality to interested stakeholders. Work with others in the business to develop these modules to fit with our business needs. Fully implement the new module or functionality including training and support for users
Upgrade testing and roll out of upgrades, planning and delivering in line with the 2-year requirement of Epicor to ensure full helpdesk support
Set up and maintenance of Epicor system e.g. reason codes, resources, employees, and production calendars
Manage Data Management Tool (DMT) updates of the system in a controlled manner with testing and liaison with finance and the users
Liaison with IT and users on other software systems which may be used in conjunction with Epicor
One to one and group training for Heathcoat users at all levels
Write and distribute training documentationand user guides as appropriate
Manage and trouble shoot problems that arise within the system
Advise users on day to day Epicor queries
Write and make presentations as required on new areas of Epicor being developed to encourage early support
Manage implementation of any non Epicor systems as required in the same way as Epicor projects
Appraise any opportunities for integration of any non Epicor Systems within Epicor alongside IT department
Use Kaizen techniques to look at administrative systems with a view to removing duplication and eliminating unnecessary paper
Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where required
Actively highlight potential areas for improvement
Responsible for meeting all safety, quality and quantity requirements
Report all health and safety issues to line manager, including near misses, property damage or injuries
Read, understand and comply with all Risk Assessments (RAs) within the department
Work to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
Ensure 5S is followed and carried out within the work area
Carry out daily standard work tasks within the work area
Contribute to any continuous improvement activities within the department as required
Take ownership for own learning and progression
Assist in the learning and development of new starters when required
Ensure compliance with all necessary legislation and audit requirements at all times
Awareness of all environmental regulations and restrictions within the department
Adhere to the Health and Safety and Environmental Policies
Ad-hoc duties to support the business when necessary
The Person
Experience in using ERP within a manufacturing environment
Degree qualified in an appropriate field or equivalent experience
Strong organisational skills with a high level of computer literacy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
