Graduate Teaching Assistants

Graduate Teaching Assistants required for primary and secondary SEN schools in and around the area of Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Leatherhead and Surrey surrounding areas.
Both full and part time positions, with the option for regular but flexible work to fit around your availability.
Pay will be dependant on the days an hours you wish to work however you can expect to earn between GBP1000-GBP1200 a month
Previous experience working in any educational/youth work/school setting is preferred but not essential.
This is ideal role for graduates who want to pursue a career within children's education or development working alongside a multidisciplinary team of teachers and therapists.
Teaching Personnel wish to recruit hard working Graduate Teaching Assistants on behalf of a number of our client primary and secondary SEN schools in the area of Guildford and surrounding Surrey areas. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide much needed support to class teacher's and SEN students within the schools and also have to cover a number of gaps across the schools teaching faculty.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant working within our client schools, no day will be the same and you must be flexible and able to adapt to a number of roles and situations.

You will be working within class as a SEN Teaching Assistant ensuring that all students understand the work that is being set and promoting positive behaviour.
Your role may include working alongside identified students on a 1:1 basis - this could be pupils who have behaviour difficulties or students with SEN needs. General class sizes are between 6-8 on average.
It will be your responsibility to monitor behaviour throughout the lesson and reduce instances of low level disruption.
You may be asked to provide 1:1 tuition to students in your specialist subject or lead small intervention sessions to students who require additional support.
You could have the opportunity to provide general cover amongst lessons - which will be perfect if you are considering a PGCE application in the future.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
