Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is looking for a Junior Sous Chef for a luxury country house hotel in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The role will be supporting the Michelin starred Head Chef in running the hotel's formal dining restaurant.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be a great team player -support Head Chef in ensuring the smooth running of kitchen operation at all times.
• Understand and implement sound ordering and stock control measures.
• Assist the Head Chef in menu writing, planning and be proactive in assessing current industry trends and initiatives for your section.
• Ensure proper standards of food and service are executed to the highest standard at all times.
• Maintain the highest levels of food hygiene and health and safety at all times.
• Support and monitor training and development of new staff in the kitchen

We are looking for candidates that have good communication skills, a guest-focused work ethic and a track record working in similar award-winning kitchens.

Contracted hours are 48 per week.

Salary is GBP29,000 plus service charge (circa GBP2,000 per annum) plus excellent staff benefits including:
