We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to manage a team of dedicated Procurement and Commercial Services specialists whilst delivering and executing projects across the full commercial lifecycle. This is an enticing role for an individual who will be able to have an influential role in the direction of all aspects of the team and projects, and see the rewards and results of what is put in.
As well as deputising for the Head of Commercial Services the key deliverables in this position include driving the commercial agenda (whilst recognising and balancing potential risks), creating/maintaining the framework by which PPF effectively and consistently manages its supply base, and pro-actively seeking commercial opportunities relating to the supply chain. This is both a sponsoring role, driving and shaping ‘Best Practice’, and a delivery one, demonstrating tangible benefits.
Interested applicants will be required to demonstrate their understanding of commercial theory/practice and commercial models specifically within public sector guidelines and regulations. Through your expert communication and stakeholder management you’ll be able to influence and negotiate senior level discussions and affect key-decision makers. You’ll be able to lead project groups and key sponsors and be experienced managing qualified Commercial Services staff.
Finally, we expect suitable applicants to have their career underpinned by a good track record within a higher education setting, that’s supplemented with relevant accreditations in IACCM, or CIPS, etc.
