Global Field Service Engineer

Talented Field Service Engineer sought to undertake a varied international role providing first class trouble shooting and repair support to a range of complex electro-mechanical equipment based within blue chip client sites globally.
You will be joining a leading manufacturer with a truly global presence where you will utilise your technical skills provide support to key customers.
As such, this is a varied, Service Engineering / Support role with responsibility for mentoring and providing support to regionally based Service Technicians in the UK, US, Europe, Africa and Asia to ensure the highest level of service for the company's range of high value, electro-mechanical capital equipment.
Your remit as Service Engineer will be to both support the local service technicians based in country, through effective troubleshooting and repair of often highly complex electromechanical capital equipment delivering an effective end-user experience as well as optimising the training provision for the service technicians by supporting them on more complex issues.
You will also support the development teams in the UK offering expertise during new product installations and commissioning of often complex machines requiring tailored training or to support the introduction of new products.
Key accountabilities as Global Service Engineer will include:
Supporting key customers through installations, commissioning, trouble shooting, repair and technical support globally
Supporting field based engineers through fault-finding and repairing complex electromechanical issues at global sites
Working to solving complex problems both internally within manufacturing and development departments as well as with sub-contractors and customers
Escalation of technical issues to the management team and highlighting and design issue to the development team to improve product performance
Provide Support to Customers, assisting and responding to remote technical requests both via the phone and email
Support the quality team to identify root cause failures on products
To succeed in this interesting key role, you will need to be:
A customer focused Service Engineer with a proven background in a Service Engineering / Field service Engineer capacity or similar
Fault-finding / diagnosing faults on complex electro-mechanical industrial / capital equipment
Skilled across electronic and mechanical disciplines
