Commonfield Services Ltd manufacture sliding wardbrobes, kitchen & bathroom carcases. We are now recruiting for a Buyer.

Job Summary:

The Buyer is required to be a methodical individual who is able to prioritise and plan effectively the stock controls whilst reducing costs and improving the supply chain.

Key Tasks:

Managing the purchasing and replenishment of products sold.

Ensuring best possible prices, terms & conditions are in place

Maintaining stock levels

Ensuring the products are delivered on time.

Responsible for the purchasing of day to day goods.

Purchasing stock sustainably and working alongside the Compliance team in FSC Standards and ISO 14001.

Manage a purchasing stock control database.

Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.

Reacting to changes in customer demands.

Regularly liaise with the Operations Manager and relevant internal departments regarding stock and delivery schedules.

Reconcile related products to balance orders.

Continuously revise and cut costs whilst maintaining the quality policy statement.

Liaise and maintain relationships with all suppliers on a daily basis.

Comply with ISO 9001 procedures.

Forward planning for glass and aluminium with the containers from China

Liaising with Overseas Agents in regard to price and quality to both new and existing products.

Complete Annual supplier performance reviews.
