Mobile Technician
To carry out the following works in accordance with the requirements of ACOP L8, BS6700 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations:-
* Hot and cold water temperature monitoring
* Shower head cleans and disinfections
* Calorifier base flushing/calorifier temperatures, including flow and return
* Calorifier internal inspections
* Water sampling
* Tank and down water services disinfections/chlorination
* Dead-leg removal
* Cold water tank replacement (not plumbing in)
* Cold water tank lining
* Cooling tower clean and disinfections
* Drawing of water systems schematics and the preparation and completion of job sheets
* TMV Testing
* Improvements/upgrading of domestic systems to fall within A.C.O.P L8 guidelines
* Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments and carrying out monitoring for the control of
* legionella
* Additional duties such as inspections of water storage tanks, hot water boilers and air
* conditioning systems
To be considered :
* Sound understanding of requirements under Health and Safety Legislation
* Use of PDA and computer literate
* A good mechanical aptitude
* Ability to interface with people, including clients, at all levels
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks
* Ability to be a self starter within a team environment and lone working.
* Must be capable of working in confined spaces/at height
* Background in legionella Control with several years' experience in site monitoring and testing.
* Understand all the legal requirements
* Driving licence
