The role is within the project team and will have responsibilities for the development and execution of test plans and scripts to deliver. The role will successfully deliver operational acceptance testing in line with milestones and to Customer Contractual requirements.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
For the successful test delivery of the Non-Functional testing including OAT Testing & Disaster
Recovery in line with project milestones, the post holder will be responsible for the following:
* Lead hands-on test execution in the areas of Operational testing, Failover, and disaster recovery testing of various apps to ensure that the system operates as expected and to full capacity.
* Support first-time data capture for issues
* Support the automation of processes to detect regression issues early in the release cycle.
* To assist with technical review and negotiations with suppliers and authorities to deliver OAT and failover, Disaster Recovery test activities.
* To develop Test Plan(s) and input to the development of test schedule(s) for the delivery of scripting, dry runs, and execution of witnessed test events.
* To develop test scripts to gain stakeholder acceptance/ approval allowing non-functional test execution.
* Participating in Test Readiness, Test Wash-up, and Test Completion Reviews.
* Generating Test Reports.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Previous experience applicable to the role:
* Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery concepts, tools, and testing techniques
* Possesses a high level of expertise in testing the following key areas; Operational testing of process/procedures Disaster Recovery Failover Testing Backup and Restore Syslog, SNMP traps alerting and monitoring Security information and event management vCenter Startup and Shutdown Archiving and Purging
* Experience of working in a mobile network or telecommunications-based environment
advantageous.
* Good understanding of: Networks, VMware, and Firewall
* Good understanding of Linux, Syslog monitoring, and alerting
* Good understanding of Backup and Restore
* Good understanding of System Security and Logging
* ISTQB?? Certified Tester, Foundation Level as a minimum.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Working knowledge of Test and Issue Management tools such as HP ALM
