Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be working in partnership with a global manufacturing company in the Rotherham area who are looking to expand their finance function with the addition of a capable and hardworking Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis initially a 12 month Fixed Term. There is every chance that this vacancy could be made permanent for someone who is hard-working, willing to get stuck in and someone who is keen to add value.
Our client is seeking someone with strong transactional accounting experience to support within the Finance Shared Service Team. Based in open plan newly refurbished offices, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right attitude and some experience to gain exposure to a PLC business within a varied role.
The duties of the role will include:
* Download and upload of bank statements
* Day to day branch banking queries
* Monitor online query portals
* Balancing a variety of wait/loan accounts
* Bank balance reconciliation for management accounts
* Various accruals and prepayments
* Banking write off management reporting
* Weekly checks on all cash, cheque and card items
* Investigate any missing cash/cheques
* Admin around new branch opening
* Monthly invoice checks and credit requests
* Cash back day cash ordering, admin and reconciliation
* Internet sales reconciliation
Experience required:
* A willingness to adopt a "hands on" flexible approach to all areas of administration and accounting is essential
* Excellent telephone manner and able to handle calls with a sensitive approach high level of customer focus.
* Fluent and professional English spoken and written
* People person, with an eye for numbers and for detail
* You will need to be reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated with excellent admin and IT skills
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
