Hours: 20hrs per week (Monday - Friday)
Salary: GBP10.04 per hour

Pertemps Dundee are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-known Public Sector organisation, for a part-time Business Support Assistant (Level 2) to start immediate temporary contract. The office is based in Arbroath but some homeworking will be required. This is a part-time position of 20hrs per week and you will be required to work 4hrs per day Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate will have a strong administration background with experience in dealing with highly sensitive information, excellent communication and customer service skills, will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Minute taking skills would be advantageous but client is happy to train the successful candidate to minute complex meetings.

As Business Support Assistant Level 2 you will contribute the delivery of a comprehensive business support service by undertaking a range of business support duties which will typically include the following:
Minute taking during meetings and panels;
Appraising situations to solve varied problems/develop solutions;
Collating, checking and organising returns;
Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures;
Creating and updating files and maintaining records;
Dealing with routine One Contact Centre enquiries;
Digital tasks including data input, complex word processing, minute taking and the use of a range of software packages;
Following a range of routine procedures and instructions, using initiative to make routine decisions and deal with any routine service related problems;
Maintaining and updating service mailbox, where required;
Obtaining information and facts from policies, files and circulars etc.;
Preparing standard reports;
Processing and/or checking a range of financial documentation;
Processing confidential, personal and sensitive information;
Reception duties and dealing with members of the public making routine service related enquiries, where required;
Recording and monitoring expenditure;
Routinely exchanging, seeking and providing information for and to members of the public and members of staff within the organisation;
To comply with all data protection law in the processing of personal, and special categories of personal data, in line with the council's full privacy statement and service privacy notices;
To comply with data protection law in the management of employees in line with the human resources data protection policy and employee privacy notice.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
