Senior Quantity Surveyor
Civil Engineering / Water / M&E
Portsmouth
Salary up to GBP70,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected Civil Engineering contractor who has a long history of delivering complex turnkey engineering projects in sectors such as Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear across the UK.
The company has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business, working on Southern Water projects, comprising mechanical, electrical, civil & process engineering. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work as part of the commercial team and will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, working either as part of a commercial team on a large project or responsible for small projects of their own.
This position reports to the Managing Quantity Surveyor for the Process & Water team and duties include but are not limited to:
* Valuations
* Change Control / Compensation Events
* Subcontractor Procurement
* CVR's
* Early Warnings
* Updating Risk Register
* Monthly Commercial Reporting
* Cash Flow Forecasts
* Subcontractor Payments
* Dispute Resolution
* Final accounts
* Desired Skills / Background
* HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or by experience (Essential).
* Working knowledge of NEC Suite of Contracts (Preferred).
* A background of working within the water industry (Preferred).
