HGV Class 1 Driver
All our driving positions are permanent and full-time, as such if you have an HGV Class 1 driving licence, apply now and work for a rapidly growing logistics service provider, namely ATL. ATL is a dynamic, forward thinking family run business established in 1959, which currently has approximately 300 brilliant colleagues across 6 UK sites. The company's activities include:
• UK and European transport.
• Distribution and Storage.
We've got one vacancy, which is immediately available, for a professional HGV Class 1 Driver at our Carlisle Depot working Days from Monday - Friday. Saturday rate is GBP18.75 per hour and Sunday / BH overtime rate is GBP22.50 per hour with effect from 1st November 2021.
We are looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver who:
* Holds a valid Driving License (Category C+E).
* Holds a valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
* Drives in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring adherence to parking, speed and road signage.
* Works safely within the Health and safety environmental guidelines, and ensure all vehicle checks are carried out prior to commencement of work.
* Is flexible in approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team, providing support in resolving problems and have a can do, right first time and passionate approach.
* Works within all legal parameters of drivers' hours and working time directive legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements.
* Has excellent verbal communication skills.
* Has excellent customer care skills.
* Is able to use own initiative and be self-motivated.
