This position serves as a primary point of contact for reviewing, negotiating, revising and drafting construction contracts, master services agreements, professional services agreements, reseller agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other commercial contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage legal disputes, including working with outside counsel and other external resources as necessary
  • Ensure that all contracting processes are followed
  • Evaluate and communicate to internal stakeholders any contract risks and obligations and provide general legal advice throughout contracting process
  • Establish productive relationships with the sales team and other internal stakeholders across multiple business units and functional groups
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies
  • Conduct legal research related to applicable municipal, state and federal laws and regulations and interpret laws, rulings and regulations to advise on legal matters, including contracts
  • Assist with additional compliance and/or legal initiatives as directed by executive management

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of post-graduation construction law experience
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Demonstrated experience with general intellectual property and privacy matters are a plus
