Conveyancer - Remortgage Team Leader
Our client is looking for a Remortgaging Team Leader to join their growing team in Wirral.
This firm has a fantastic reputation for being sympathetic and approachable as is the nature of their work. The role's duties will include but are not limited to, domestic remortgages of freehold and leasehold properties. This work will incorporate the Remortgage process from inception up to completion.
Responsibilities:
• Team Leader Duties including liaising with brokers; dealing with daily enquiries; ensuring caseload is kept up to date; deadlines and completions are met; supervise the team accordingly; provide training to team members where necessary on the running of the c
ases. This list is not exhaustive.
• Conduct and manage all aspects of his/her caseload, including taking appropriate decisions involving the exercise of judgment, subject to supervision.
• Carry out work on other team members' cases as required.
• The level of supervision required will be in accordance with the agreed conveyancing system together with further assistance in relation to key decisions on cases.
• The job holder will require a sound theoretical knowledge of the work and an ability to conduct cases from beginning to end.
• The job holder will play an important role in the team in helping to achieve the team's objectives.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is essential.
• This job is self-sufficient. The job holder will produce all his/her own work on the PC but will also have assistance from the remortgage team. Proficiency in using the equipment provided and operating the firm's systems to a high standard is required
Skills and Experience:
• Sound theoretical knowledge of conveyancing processes and procedures from start to end of a transaction
Experience in dealing with:
• members of the public
• brokers/introducers, developing strong links and growing business income streams
• dealing with domestic conveyancing transactions, freehold and leasehold properties, including sales, purchase & in particular remortgages from beginning to end
• working with Microsoft packages and case management systems
Ability to:
• manage all aspects of a remortgage caseload
• be confident in decision making and exercise of judgment
• communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbal
• work under minimal supervision
Desirables:
• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Cilex or equivalent Law; Degree or equivalent
• Experience of working with Case Management Systems, in particular Proclaim
