The Company
A rapidly growing and well-established manufacturer of specialist products that are supplied into the construction industry. Based in Stoke-on-Trent this is an exciting, challenging, new opportunity to contribute to creating and implementing a robust, high performing supply chain.
Reporting into the Operations Director and with a multi-disciplined supply chain reporting into you, you will be responsible for managing purchasing, production planning, inventory control and goods outbound.
THE ROLE
* Developing and driving the supply chain strategy.
* Working closely with sales and operational planning to forecast and plan requirements.
* Accurately report financial and operational performance, financial forecasting and annual budgeting.
* Ensure effective planning across manufacturing operations, concentrating on production capacity, customer demand and raw material availability.
* Driving the Company's OTIF aspirations, supported by the effective accuracy of ERP.
* Own and drive the MRP system implementation and development.
* Responsible for supplier selection and price negotiation along with supply contract agreements.
* Development of relevant training requirements for a small cross functional team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Ideally degree qualified in Business Management or equivalent experience as a Supply Chain/Commercial Manager within a manufacturing industry.
* Minimum Level 4 in CIPS, relevant Supply Chain degree an advantage.
* Experience in procurement, setting T&Cs, SLAs, negotiations.
* Experience of working to and achieving specific operational objectives, targets and deadlines.
* A confident communicator and change agent to all levels in the Business.
* Proactive, hands-on, engaging approach.
* Key attributes of this role are leadership, planning, implementation, engagement, and accountability.
