Do you understand how a house goes together?
Have you worked on housing building sites?
Are you keen to develop a new skill as a passive fire inspector for houses & flats?
This role would suit someone who is looking to be involved in the review of passive fire protection & to take on a role with a busy consultancy who are tasked with assessing both new build houses and occupied properties.
You will be working on compartmentation, cavity barriers, fire doors and fire stopping methods. You'll be working with the project manager to identify sites, coordinate operatives, assess barriers & produce a report and photographs for each piece of work.
It's not essential that you have done this role before, it would suit someone who has come through a trades background and perhaps taken on an assistant site manager role on a housing site. It would also be a great role for a graduate who has studied building surveying or a similar degree - the company have building surveyors, project managers and inspectors, so there may be room for progression.
You need to be comfortable travelling to sites - which will be South Bristol, Somerset & Wiltshire. You will be well organised, have some understanding of NHBC standards and building regulations & be calm under pressure. The company will fund a Fire Barriers training course for you as part of this role.
