Our client is a well-structured and growing company who are a leader within their niche of the automotive manufacturing industry.
Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking to recruit someone to the role of Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support to work within the Sales Team.
The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible for working through internal sales engineering and technical sales support involving managing new orders into builds and supporting their in house sales team with enquiry and tender support.
The role will involve:
Technical sales engineering support for pre and post orders and enquiries.
The technical review of specifications and playing a role in processing the agreed orders.
Working with Sales Planning manager to assist in planning in build slots.
Managing data for KPI's to measure performance.
Interpreting market data and forecasting to assist with forward planning and manufacture / materials planning and also to assist sales managers in growing sales opportunities.
Assisting Sales Manager to implement new processes and process tools into the business.
Support for tenders.
Preparing quotations, creating costing sheets and reports and preparing quotations.
Project based work - continuous improvement. The successful candidate will:
Preferably come from an automotive manufacturing environment or similar.
Be familiar with a LEAN manufacturing environment.
Possess an understanding of document control, Bills of Materials and Engineering change requests.
Be adaptable and used to working within a technical sales environment.
Potentially have some previous experience of getting involved in tender documents.
Possess excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working as part of a team.
