Assistant Estates Surveyor, Local Authority, Nottingham, immediate start, ongoing
Your new company
A Local Authority who are based in Nottingham are looking to appoint an interim Assistant Estates Surveyor to join their team until at least March 2022, but this could be extended. The role is full time 5 days per week and is a traditional property management role focused, initially at least, on a particular property asset in Nottingham.
Your new role
You will work as part of a team to assist Surveyors and Valuers in respect of the effective management of the Local Authorities property portfolio to deliver the Corporate Asset Management Plan. You will interpret property related documents, including tenancy agreements and leases, deeds and computer records. You will assist in the effective Estate Management of property which the council controls. As an Assistant Estates Surveyor you will work within a team that is tasked with with improving the performance of the council's property portfolio and delivering the council's property disposal, acquisition and asset valuation programme.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a relevant degree in Property/ Surveying/ Estates Management and will have practical experience of property management and maintenance of non-domestic buildings as well as experience in the use of office technology including property related packages. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to inspect commercial and industrial premises for compliance with tenancy conditions, repairs, structural conditions, site and valuation.
