Solicitor
We are currently looking for a Solicitor to join our Manchester office working within our Corporate & Transactions legal team.
This is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary is to be discussed dependent on experience but will include a bonus and comes with an excellent benefits package including up to 30 days holiday + bank holidays, competitive pension scheme, health & medical insurance, life assurance, company sick pay and enhanced maternity pay.
Key Accountabilities
* To advise the business (with support from the wider legal team where required) on complex contracts and transactions.
* To support business strategic transactions such as banking and finance arrangements and M&A activity across the Calisen group.
* To research as required in relation to new asset sectors and transaction structures, demonstrate an ability to interpret, evaluate, record, and present findings accurately and clearly as the business requires.
* To draft ancillary and intra-group documents such as consent letters, minutes, and written resolutions for corporate transactions.
* To draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements.
What we are looking for
Experience
* You are likely to have Newly Qualified - 4 years' Post-Qualified Experience, although those with more/less would be considered.
* An ambitious solicitor with experience gained in private practice in advising on transactions either from a projects, corporate or finance background.
* Experience or keen interest in the energy sector and/or carbon reducing technology would be an advantage.
* Calisen is open to considering candidates wanting to make the first step in-house from a private practice background. You will have trained and/or gained extensive experience within a top tier firm.
